Introduction

Asafoetida can be fried, grounded and made into small balls for further use. It is mostly used in cooking for its unique aroma and taste.

For a dry cough

It can be fried and should be taken an amount of single green peas. Along with that, honey should be mixed and taken thrice a day after their meal. This should be done for two to three days to cure a dry cough.

To cure hemiplegia

To cure hemiplegia, a person should take two small balls of asafetida and fry it in any natural oil. In the same oil, twenty grams of garlic should be fried, when the garlic turns red, we need to add those two balls. That mixture should be smashed properly; this liquid mixture should be kept on a stove until it turns into a semi-solid state. When it reaches that state, we need to add thirty grams of palm sugar in it. This can be cooled down after the palm sugar melts and merges with the mixture.  This can be stored in a glass bottle after it cools down. This mixture should be taken two times a day. The measurement can be identified with two small balls. This person should drink hot water after having it. This should be taken 21 days without failure to cure this disease.

To disperse gas from our body

Two small balls of asafoetida should be fried it in ghee and ground it for this home remedy. This powder can be mixed with boiled rice to remove the excess and troubling gas from our body.

To remove the dead child from the uterus of the mother

20 grams of this ingredient should be fried and powdered along with 5 grams of rock salt should be drunk mixed with water. This will help in bringing out the dead fetus out of our body.

How to prepare asafoetida chutney

Required ingredients

  • Asafoetida – 30 grams
  • Dried ginger – 10 grams
  • Pepper – 10 grams
  • Long pepper – 10 grams
  • Peppercorn – 10 grams
  • Garlic pieces – 10 grams
  • Cumin – 10 grams
  • Carom seed – 10 grams

Among these, only the first one should be fried and the rest should be taken raw and be grounded well. This powder should be cleaned and the fine powder should be taken, and the remaining dust should be put out. 50 grams of Palm sugar should be mixed when the ghee is still boiling in the stove. This fine power should be put in the whole tumbler of heated ghee. It should be mixed for a few minutes until the mixture turns red. It can be stored after this semi-solid mixture turns cold. This mixture should be taken morning and evening for 21 days. It will cure many diseases and gives immunity to the body.
